OUR PROGRAM

The Outreach program from the Chemistry Club at Colorado State University is normally in charge of traveling to elementary and middle schools in the area to perform interactive and informative demonstrations for the kids, along with hosting a super fun Halloween show every year.  However with the current circumstances, we have had to change how we operate.  We have created this website as a tool for teachers in the area or anyone who wants to learn more about science! We will be posting weekly videos, worksheets and follow along experiments for everyone's enjoyment!  We hope this website is a useful tool and helps everyone stay safe, while still learning!

Maggie

Maggie is a senior at CSU with a double major in Environmental Economics and Chemistry. She enjoys rock climbing, yoga, and watching TV (but who doesn't). Outside of her true love for teaching kids science she works for the theatre department at CSU and does research on polymers (plastics) trying to make them better for the environment. She got into science when she was very young. For Christmas one year she got a chemistry set and started analyzing everything, from there it just took hard work and dedication to the subject she loves to get where she is today. After college, she hopes to continue to help the environment through science and hopefully continue spreading knowledge!

Brooke

Brooke is a junior at CSU majoring in Biochemistry with a concentration in Health and Medical Sciences.  She plans on attending medical school to become a doctor, specifically a pediatrician.  She enjoys reading, hiking and being around friends or family in her free time.  She has always had a love for science from a young age but as she got older and started to learn more, her love for it grew and she knew she wanted to continue to learn.  With her experience and love for working with kids, she decided teaching them science would be the perfect way to spend her time! She looks forward to teaching the amazing world of science to everyone and hopefully show you guys just how fun science can be!
